About Sweet Waffle Farm
About Sweet Waffle Farm
We're here to reconnect people with their food and help raise our children to understand the skills of small scale food production and business. We raise chickens, bees, ducks, guinea, quail, and turkeys and grow apples, pears, plums, and all sorts of berries.
Along the way, I got back to my roots as a chemist and started formulating soaps and lotions for our own use.
How we got our name
Our first hen was a barnyard mix that we named Waffle. She is the buff colored chick pictured in the cover photo. While she was at our home, I would sit on the back patio to read, and she would come sit in my lap. When she moved out to the farm, she was always the sweetest of our hens. She would always follow us around and loved being picked up and cuddled.
